Golf

This year Royal Troon hosted the world famous Open Golf Championship. Glasgow's proximity to the motorways allows you to be amongst some of the greatest links golf in Scotland along the Ayrshire coast in just over half an hour. And allows you to combine some outstanding golf with a great city experience.

Massively underestimated - and living rather in the shadow of these great Ayrshire coast links - are some truly wonderful 18 hole heathland and parkland courses in and around the city itself. 'Must plays' include Milngavie, Killerrmont, Haggs Castle, Westerwood near Cumbernauld, Whitecraigs, East Renfrewshire and Pollok - to name but just a few.
