Glasgow is justifiably proud of its outstanding
collection of Visitor Attractions. The majority are open
all year round and many are free of charge to visitors.
In 1990, Glasgow marked its reign as Cultural
Capital of Europe with a year long festival of over 3,000
events and the opening of Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
And in 1999, Glasgow was given it's second
accolade of the decade, when it celebrated holding the title
of UK City of Architecture and Design. This proved enormously
popular with both visitors and local Glaswegians, and the
city has seen much investment and growth as a result.
